The Webinar, organized by the Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Women in Maritime Caribbean (WiMAC) Barbados Chapter, will address key aspects of integral maritime and port management through a gender perspective. Representatives from the WiMAC Barbados Chapter, Antigua Cruise Port, the Port Authority of Jamaica, and the Suriname Port Management Company, will share successful practices and offer recommendations on how to effectively implement a gender perspective into port and maritime operations. The presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion where participants will identify elements for greater gender equality and the benefits this can bring for the industry’s performance.
